Along with each dance’s character comes a set of steps that are designed for it (and approved by governing organizations to be used at dancesport competitions). These are the lists (syllabi) for each. Also listed are some combinations/routines of these figures appropriate to each level of dancing as put together by some local professionals who teach classes at the Art and Learning Center. While these are organized by the syllabi rules used in competitions, they make for a good guideline for the social dancer on all of the steps out there and how to do each, what fits in which dance.
